Hi, to all you people out there dealing with nokia routers you might be able
to help me out, having one myself and not knowing the admin password is very
annoying, I also have a cli cable that can telnet into the router ,but
requires a admin password that has been changed and is not known, is there any
other way around this so I can access the nokia to make it useable
again........many thanks...Pilot

Hello
From memory, if it a Telecom sourced M1122, the default login is Telecom
(upper case T)
and there was no password.

Cheers

http://www.wlug.org.nz/M1122

All the firmware and stuff should be there.

The standard M1122's that were ex telecom DSL modems should have no
firmware passwords, however, if the firmware is requesting a password
(after you type the "mo") then you may be pretty screwed.

If you want to preserve the config and just reset the passwords then you
can do the "mo" trick (read the website) and delete the .pwl files that
you can see after doing a "dir"

The default password is - "password" I believe.

I believe that even Nokia were having problems reflashing these.

As Telecom has given them away for free in the meantime anyway, noone should
seriously complain for publishing this "secret":

Try "Zba2Y7Pr3" with "admin" as username.

Hi,

if my previous posting doesn't help, here's another possibility: Someone on
this list sent the comment below to me in 2001 when I had similar problem to
yours (Note: I did not try the below, because for me the default Telecom
password [Zba...] worked just fine).

---- quote begins ----
You can remove passwords by attaching a console cable (the pinout
is on the archives somewhere) and, at boot type 'm' then 'o' as it
indicates.
Then delete the .pwd.cfg file. That should remove most of the passwords.
If that doesn't work, kill all files except the image.exe and set it up
again.
---- quote ends ----

Cheers,
Raimund
