I have Jetstream-plus via Paradise and have recently changed my phone services
to Telstraclear.
I used to be able to log into Telecom's website here
http://www.telecom.co.nz/chm/0,5123,204516-203615,00.html to check my usage
but since I have taken my phone services away from them ( Telecom) I cannot
login to check my usage.
The login requires a Telecom account number as password and seeing as I no
longer have a Telecom account number, it wont work.

Is there any way that people in my situation can check their usage?

Paradise have their own usage meter, go to Paradise website and login in to
My Account. Or you can use an app like Traffic Usage Checked which is
basically a front end for the same thing.

There are two options on the Paradise Usage page.
They are:

1. Check how much traffic you've used (Not for Paradise ADSL users*)
Note: Paradise ADSL users must refer to the Jetstream usage meter due to
timing differences in billing and usage information. Please click on the link
below.

and:

2 . Check here for your Paradise ADSL/Jetstream usage.

Since I have Jetstream ADSL via Paradise I should choose the second option
right? Well it takes me to the Telecom login page.

The first option does take me to a useage meter which says I've used 265mb
total in the last 15 days - - This includes downloading 2x Linux ISO's @
650mb each and several days of P2P-ing....
Somehow I don't think the reading is correct :)

I emailed Paradise support about a week ago but as yet have not had a reply
from them.

Not that I'm worried if my usage is not being recorded, just wanted to know
if/when I was about to be throttled.

You told them about that?! NO!

Have pity on those with 10GB caps that Paradise lets slide.
