Extra telecom charges

If the alternate toll charges are substantially less than Telecom's then the extra $10.00 adsl charge per month will be saved. My charges are 18c/min anywhere in the world - we make approx $30 calls per month. Telecom's charges are (for me) 49c/min, so savings are in excess of the extra $10.00 Telecom charge for not having them as a toll provider. So the "apparent" saving is false economy.

Getting on a plan similar to my Clear plan - TC anytime - still saps an
additional $5.00 on the line cost and an additional $1.80 for the call
minder. Given the, still, higher charges, particularly for the fxd to cell
charges its still unlikely to be cheaper. They give with one hand and take
with the other.
