Further to my last post, I just realised I even have an email from
telecom from 1st October confirming that my plan would change, so it's
not like they can deny I called them or that the change was in their
system.

The plan you have been changed to is the Jetstream Surf Flat Rate plan.
You receive 10GB at 256kb then speed is throttled back to dial up speed.
