I am getting problems since I updated to the latest firmware:

| GUI Firmware Version ETHADSL_USB_080902_REL9P-B1
| Software Version 050504_REL9_v5
| Showtime Firmware Version 3.27

The problems entitle:

SSH Problems:
ssh read errors, first attempt
ssh authentication error (with password prompt), second attempt
success, third attempt

HTTP Problems:
Error: website contains no data, first attempt
success, second attempt

It seems like something goes horribly wrong when trying to initiate a connection initially, then
it's fine the second/third time

Ugh!

I have been running a XH1169 with the same revision of software you list
since I purchased on 15th August 2004 with not one problem.
It came with that version already in it so i did not have to do any upgrade!
Plugged it in
Set up the virtual server ports as per the RTA020 doing the job previously
Added the VPN port which would never work on the RTA020
and never looked back.
Everything has worked without one glitch.
With the RTA020 I had to have a batch file running on one of the servers
every 15 mins pinging an external address to keep the PPP connection (Xtra)
alive all the time for incoming email as without it the connection would
drop and not reconnect till something happened on the LAN side to make it
reconnect etc.

With the XH1169 there has not been one issue and it has worked fantastically
with incoming VPN as well.

PS I have no association with DSE. Just found the product excellent to set
up and operate over a short period so far.

John
