Level 1 wireless ADSL router problems ?

Hi All,

Have a customer with a Level 1 WBR-3402A wireless Jetstream router that
simply won't connect after going over the settings several times, double
checking everything etc.... unfortunately its not a router I've encountered
before.

The symptom is that the DSL status is ok, but the PPP session always fails
with "LCP terminated" in the log file. Same thing happens with the
Jetstream Games realm.

Anyone ever used one of these ? Any tricks to getting it working ? :-)

Regards,
Simon

Couldnt be related to this NZNOG post this morning could it?:

FYI Jetstream in Wellington seems to have been out from 9am this morning -
Xtra help(?)desk message says the problem is nationwide and gives no time to
resolution.

Thanks to those that pointed this out, (a couple of offlist replies too)
yes I was aware something a bit "funny" was going on around country,
however I remotely rebooted my own Jetstream router at home (which is on
the same exchange as the customer) and it reconnected straight away no
problems. Also he first tried to set up the router yesterday and was having
the same problems, so although it's possible its a factor, I think there is
still something wrong with the router setup. I will let him know that there
are intermitant problems though.

Simon

is it telepermited?

could be related to the `CHCH RAN'[1] being offline or the `nation wide'
dsl outage [2] at the moment.

[1] This is hearsay but sounds like the most logical cause
[2] This is what the Xtra helpdesk is saying, however my dsl seems to be
working fine.
