Been reading the posts re issues people are going through with Plan and
speed changes with interest.

Requested a change of Jetstream Surf from Xtra to Orcon in September.
Changed over by Orcon with in 30 minutes.
Cancelled Xtra portion via Xtra help desk and got case number.
Telecom Bill did not show reduction in price. Told there was a credit
applied to the bill.
Still never turned on Telecom Bill!!
Requested change to Orcon bitsteam 1st October. Told it would be 29th
October. Works perfectly.
Telecom still billing for Surf plan. Ring up to query bill and told that no
one ever asked them to cancel the Surf. (Telecom themselves did the change
from Surf to Bitstream on 29th).
Told that I should have requested the cancel of billing. Leter in
conversation told Orcon should have requested the cancel of billing. (they
asked for the change of service) Will look into it!!
No doubt like the credit it will not appear!!
Cancelled a fixed IP address with Telecom due to Bitsream having one
included. Still on Telecom bill.
Changed a Home 500 Jetstream plan from Xtra to Orcon. Orcon had it running
within 5 minutes.
Rang Xtra to cancel.
Still on bill!! Like the credit?

Morel of this.
Change any Jetstream activity away from Telecom (or Xtra) and expect the
billing to continue!

Of course if you dont pay that portion of the bill the phone gets cut off.
Any why do you have to wait ages (plus listen to minutes of recorded
messages) to query over billing?

Its not the $ that count its the time on the phone getting it sorted and
having to record ALL the case numbers so you can prove the requests were
made.

Lets unbundle and get proper competition going!

John
